山本耀司、高田賢三、菊池武夫、ニューヨーク　バーニーズ等のショップデザイン。飲食店、美容室、展示会、集合住宅等を手がける。
他、(株)内野　ボディー&バスショップのプロダクトデザイン。
家具などを、フィラデルフィア美術館主催「日本のデザイン」展、アメリカ、イタリア、ドイツ、フランス、日本の巡回展をはじめ内外の展覧会に出展。
(フィラデルフィア美術館に収蔵品として家具等がある)

1946　Born in Kohchi, Japan
1974　Graduated from the Kuwasawa Design School.
1977　Kitaoka established his own firm, Kitaoka Design office Co.,Ltd.

His major works are boutiques for Yohji Yamamoto, Kenzo takada, Takeo kikuchi,the shop design for BARNEYS NEWYORK, product design for Uchino body & bath Co.,Ltd, beauty parlors, exhibitions, condomidiums and a number of interior works in Japan. He has sent his designed works to exhibitions in America, Italy, Germany, France, and JAPANESE DESIGN exhibition sponsered by Philaddelphia Museum of Art, traveling exhibition in Japan and others.Some of his works are included in the Collection of Philaddelphia Museum of Art.
