喜多俊之　／　Kita Toshiyuki
■略歴
1942	大阪市生まれ。プロダクトデザイナー。
1969	イタリア・ミラノと日本で制作活動を開始。
1985	毎日デザイン賞を受賞。
1987	パリ・ポンピドゥセンター10周年記念招待作家として「未来空間」を提案。
1990	スペインにおいて“デルタ・デ・オロ賞”を受賞。
1993	第6回国際デザイン・コンペテションの審査委員長を務める。
1995	通産省グッドデザイン総合審査委員長を務める。
環境及び空間、インダストリアル・デザインで国際的に活躍する。ニューヨーク近代美術館を始め、作品が世界のミュージアムのパーマネントコレクションに選定される。また、地場産業の活性化にも携わり、和紙や漆などの日本の伝統工芸と取り組む。
■Biography
1942	Born inOsaka, Japan. Product Designer.
1969	Began to work in Milan and Japan.
1985	Awarded MAINICHI Design Prize.
1987	Took part in the celebrations if the Centre George Pompidou's 10th anniversary.
1990	Awarded Delta de oro in Spain.
1993	Became the president of a jury of the 6h International Design Competition.
1995	Became the president of a Good Design Award.
He is an active environmental product designer in the International field. Some of his works were selected as part of the permanent collection in Museum of Modern Art, New York and also at other numerous museums around the world. He is also invloved with traditional Japanese craft design such as lacquer wears and traditional Japanese paper products.
